Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal System Engineer to support the Data Acquisition and Processing System within the System Test Team, located in Roy, UT for the Sentinel program.

Responsibilities include system architecture and requirements development, flight test data processing, performance assessment, and cross‑functional collaboration with customers; a DoD clearance and strong systems engineering background are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline; 8+ years of related experience (or 6 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with a PhD).
• Experience with Systems Engineering Principles and the Systems Engineering V.
• Knowledge of data gathering, cleansing, and transformation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and deployment of the Data Acquisition and Processing System to support flight test data handling at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
• System architecture and requirements development.
• Flight test data processing to include best bit selection of raw telemetry data and data quality checks.
• System performance assessment, requirements analysis, verification and validation, design, development, and integration.
• Create technical reports and present metric reports.
• Interface with internal and external customers.
