Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks a Sr Principal Systems Engineer – Communications Test Engineer to lead acceptance testing, troubleshoot, and drive test program improvements. On-site role requiring DoD Secret clearance and SAP access, with radar/EW system experience preferred.

You'll mentor engineers, manage test artifacts, and collaborate with program managers to deliver robust, field-ready solutions. Relocation support may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting radar, RF, electronic warfare (EW), or other mission system programs; familiarity with sensor hardware capabilities.
• Proficiency with SAP Quality Notifications (QNs); experience with acceptance test execution, hardware selloff processes, and defect tracking/configuration management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Acceptance Test Execution – Plan, schedule, and execute system level acceptance tests; maintain the System ATP plan and procedures.
• Facilitate Team Development – Provide training for System ATP execution engineers and mentor a growing test team.
• Technical Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis – Direct cross disciplinary investigations; determine corrective actions and document results.
• Defect Tracking & Configuration Management – Generate and manage Quality Notifications in SAP; maintain accurate records of test results and hardware traceability.
