Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks a Sr. Principal RF Hardware Subsystem Integration and Test Engineer to drive RF-to-digital subsystem integration, performance modeling, and bench testing. The role includes occasional travel to customer sites and IRAD contributions.

The ideal candidate holds a STEM degree with 8+ years of RF/Microwave experience, holds an active Secret clearance or higher, and is proficient with RF test equipment and MATLAB/C++ scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM or related discipline with 8 years of experience in RF/Microwave or 6 years with a Master's and/or 4 years with a PhD.
• US Citizenship required.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP access.
• Proficiency with RF test equipment and antenna range testing.
• Experience developing novel RF/Microwave design and test solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze subsystems from RF to digital hardware, perform performance modeling and support testing.
• Provide technical support for RF/system test benches and lead integration into larger test architectures.
• Travel to customer sites for action requests and field troubleshooting as needed.
• Contribute to IRAD activities and define test approaches for new capabilities.
• Work under consultative direction toward long-range goals and maintain configuration control.
