Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Experienced Space Systems R&D Mechanical Engineer to support space system modeling, design, build and testing, and interpretation of results for national security space customers.

The role requires on-site work and a DOE Q and SCI clearance; ideal candidates have advanced degrees and a track record in space hardware development for DoD/NASA programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Provide understanding of space mechanical components to space systems modelers.
• Generate models of space mechanical components designed by others.
• Design, build and test space mechanical components and mechanisms.
