Job summary

Trident Systems in Fairfax, VA seeks an Electrical Engineering - Technical Fellow to lead division-level hardware architecture and development for space and defense systems. You will define requirements, guide design reviews, and ensure radiation-tolerant, high-performance space computer hardware across the lifecycle.

Candidates bring 15+ years in space hardware, FPGA/SoC experience, and final design authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical or related field.
• 15+ years in space/defense hardware.
• Final design authority for complex space hardware.
• Experience with high-speed SerDes (>10 Gbps).
• FPGA/SoC hardware development experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship for discipline engineers.
• Serve as final technical review and sign-off authority on complex designs.
• Architect and lead space computer hardware development process from requirements to integration.
• Set architecture balancing performance, memory, interconnect, power, thermal, and radiation tolerance.
• Lead high-speed signaling design and analysis; manage design reviews (PDR/CDR/TRR).
