Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions in Atlanta is seeking a Sr Software Engineer III Principal Engineer to serve as the senior technical leader across a broad portfolio of internally developed applications and third party integrations.

The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural ownership, mentoring, and collaboration with IT leadership and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Undergraduate degree in CS, SE, IS, or related field.
• Experience in senior/principal level roles and enterprise-scale systems.
• Proficient in Azure-based development and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, .NET Core, and Vue.js.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve enterprise architecture, standards, and design principles.
• Lead architecture for complex, cross-system initiatives and provide escalation support.
• Own technical health, lifecycle, and integration strategy for internal apps and third-party systems.
• Provide technical leadership for API design and third-party integrations.
• Mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and guide onboarding/offboarding.
