Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer to guide design and development across multiple teams. You will architect and advocate reusable code foundations, lead in technology selection, and drive interoperability with vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
7+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Agile/Lean development environments.
Expertise in at least two THD IT technologies.
Willingness to travel overnight up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

Lead portfolio-level Principal meetings to maintain alignment and knowledge sharing.
Architect foundational code elements reusable across a portfolio and develop POCs with new tech.
Monitor cloud resource usage, drive cost reductions and optimize existing systems.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback; conduct reviews.
