Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of RF and microwave power amplifiers for wireless applications.

You will perform circuit design, simulation, characterization, and production support, interfacing with filter and switch designers to optimize yield and performance. Key tools include ADS and HFSS for EM simulation, with hands-on experience in load-pull, stability analysis, and test bench integration.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of RF semiconductor experience, laminate experience desirable.
• ADS and HFSS EM simulation experience required.
• Experience in RF circuit design.
• Proficient with RF measurement equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Design input/output and interstage matching networks to optimize gain, efficiency, bandwidth, and linearity.
• Interface with filter designers and switch designers; work with product engineering to improve yields and introduce new products to manufacturing.
• Use ADS and HFSS for design and module laminate.
• Act as liaison between design, product engineering and characterization to ensure robust designs with margin for high volume production.
• Responsible for all aspects of circuit design and product development, including technical leadership and assigning work to RF technicians.
• Characterize and validate design and work on test benches including Sig Gen, Spec An, Power Meter, VNA and probe-station.
