ASRC Agile Decision Sciences, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking aSeniorSpectrum Management Engineerto support our ongoing support to our NASA programs.

This position is part-time (remote), scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support related to the electromagnetic spectrum and telecommunications systems analysis including all terrestrial and space systems supporting NASA operations.
  • In partnership with the NASA Spectrum Analysis Center, provide technical expertise and analysis to support domestic and international engineering studies.
  • Provide technical expertise to support collaboration and participation with other Agency spectrum organizations to meet the Agency’s requirements and mission needs for spectrum allocations, assignments and coordination in national spectrum management organizations.
  • Provide technical support related to the electromagnetic spectrum and telecommunications systems analysis including all terrestrial and space systems supporting NASA operations.
  • Support the NASA Spectrum Office activities with domestic spectrum management tasks and ancillary meetings.
  • Support the preparation and advocacy of technical contributions to appropriate IRAC and IRAC subcommittee meetings to support the integrity of NASA spectrum allocations and missions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in an engineering field, such as electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years’ or more of relevant work experience is required.
  • Knowledge and expertise with the NTIA and the Interdepartmental Radio Advisory Committee (IRAC), as well as the IRAC subcommittees and ad hoc groups
  • Knowledge of U.S. frequency licensing processes, procedures, and automation systems for federal government systems (through NTIA) and for non-federal systems (through the FCC)
  • Knowledge of the WRC and the policies and procedures within the WRC Study Cycle through the International Telecommunications Union (ITU)-Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R), as well as knowledge of ITU governance and structure
  • Spectrum management experience and knowledge of NASA spectrum usage sufficient to act autonomously when liaising for the Agency at domestic and international spectrum management forums
  • Presentation and representation skills sufficient to advocate for the Agency in various domestic and international spectrum management forums
  • Must be U.S. Citizen to be able to obtain a government issued Secret clearance.
  • Ability to travel, if necessary.
  • Prior experience in supporting spectrum management and engineering activities of federal agencies.
