Job description

BlueHalo, an AV Company, is seeking a Senior Principal RF Engineer to join the Kinetic Interceptor team. This role involves working across various disciplines focusing on product development, analysis, testing, and system integration. Responsibilities include developing RF seeker designs, planning tasks, leading and mentoring teams, and supporting milestone reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure technical integrity and execution across teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Represent BlueHalo and program interests with senior stakeholders.
• Engage with subcontractors and partners to ensure deliverables.
• Lead a team of engineers in missile development support.
• Mentor junior engineers from conceptual design through technical data release.
• Design, test, and integrate RF seeker components and subsystems.
• Lead design reviews and support customer reviews.
• Assist in program scheduling and hardware planning.
• Develop engineering estimates for labor and materials.

Qualifications:

• Must be a US citizen with a B.S. and 15+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Must hold a Secret security clearance.
• Experience with missile trade studies, system development, requirements management, and integration.
• Proven ability to develop complex system architectures and manage product lifecycle stages.
• Experience in the defense industry, customer interface, and resource management.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and occasional travel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of industry electrical standards and experience with classified and cybersecurity systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12+ years with M.S. or 10+ years with PhD in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience leading system-of-systems design and documentation development.
• Knowledge of mission-critical systems and relevant standards (e.g., MIL-STD series, IEEE standards).
