Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Radar Systems for a multi‑location role in Oklahoma City, OK; Rancho Bernado, CA; or Melbourne, FL.

You will own requirements, lead a team of engineers, and drive technical analyses across disciplines to support modernization and sustainment efforts. The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, rigorous verification, and clear communication with internal peers and external customers.

Qualifications

• Senior Principal Systems Engineer with 8+ years in Systems Engineering or 6 years with MS or 4 years with PhD
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret or SAP clearance
• Experience developing/integrating radar systems
• Experience in requirements management and traceability (DOORS)
• Experience with HW/SW integration testing
• Experience with Agile execution and leading Scrum teams
• Experience managing EVMS Control Accounts (CAM)

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements and allocate/verify/validate plans and interfaces
• Write complex specifications and engineering reports
• Coordinate with program leads and stakeholders across IPTs
• Maintain systems engineering artifacts with configuration control
• Manage verification and validation of artifacts across programs
• Communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences
• Manage Control Accounts and Earned Value performance
• Ensure technical quality, cost, and schedule aligned with processes
