Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector seeks a Sr. Principal Reliability & Maintainability Systems Engineer to join a product support team in Melbourne, FL.

This 100% on-site role focuses on establishing and verifying R&M performance for design changes and new development, ensuring program requirements are met. The candidate will perform R&M allocations, FMECA, BIT testability, and mission reliability analyses while collaborating with IPTs and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in STEM and 6 years of engineering experience OR PhD with 1 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in Reliability and Maintainability discipline
• Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated US Government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform R&M allocations and predictions
• Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis
• Perform Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis
• Develop mission reliability analysis
• Support the development of teams in the investigation of issues
• Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
• Experience with Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
• Experience with maintainability demonstrations
• Experience with HALT, RGT, and ESS
