Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Sr Principal Project Manager to oversee complex programs from Roy, UT. The role requires coordinating schedules, budgets, and supplier interactions while ensuring program goals and client satisfaction. Strong leadership and DoD project experience are essential.

Work is based in Roy, UT with a standard 9/80 schedule. Eligible relocation assistance may be provided; security clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus experience requirements as stated; 8 years with Bachelors, 6 years with Masters, 4 years with PhD, otherwise -4 years may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
• Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
• Working knowledge of Project Management principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• At least five years of experience in leading projects or cross-functional teams.
• Experience in briefing executive leadership.
• Proficiency in Atlassian tool suite.
• Advanced Excel Skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
• Acts as liaison between project management, planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and status reports.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and problem solving.
• Coordinate supplier meetings and travel; track events and deliverables.
• Develop/fill out SOWs and related documents to cover scope.
