The Clearing, Inc. seeks a Senior Principal Consultant level Project Leader to manage a DoD client engagement in the Alexandria, VA area. Requires active DoD Secret clearance (or recent), a bachelor's degree, and 12+ years of experience including team leadership and large-scale project delivery.

Senior Principals mentor teams, drive account growth, and oversee proposals, contracts, and delivery quality across multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships and strategic execution.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret Clearance (or active within past two years).
Bachelor’s degree required.
12+ years of professional work experience.
10+ years managing large-scale consulting projects and change initiatives.
5+ years managing people/teams.
Proven track record in capturing and growing new business.
Strong skills in change strategy, strategic planning, and organizational design.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a complex, medium-to-large-sized project.
Set and manage client expectations; own project outcomes and build trust-based relationships.
Oversee project financials; guide budget management for profitability.
Develop and manage multi-year plans for account growth and sustainment.
Produce high-quality client deliverables with strong written communication.
Facilitate client meetings and navigate high-stakes dynamics.
Mentor staff and lead development of junior team members.
Lead proposals and capture strategy; mentor others in bid processes.
Drive market visibility through thought leadership and events.
Develop partnerships to expand markets and offerings.
Oversee full capture, proposal, and contracting lifecycle.
