Job summary

Mercury Systems, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Principal Program Analyst to implement data-driven analytics for program performance outcomes.

You will interact with business units, program staff, and PMO to support planning, control, variance analysis, and internal reporting requirements. The role involves interfacing with FP&A, program managers, accounting, contracts, and procurement to address EAC booking assumptions, updated revenue forecasts, backlog and unbilled analysis on supported programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of related professional experience OR Master’s with fewer years of related professional experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and EVMS software (Deltek Cobra).
• Experience in cost management, finance management, or pricing & estimating.
• Experience delivering data with strict deadlines.
• Experience with financial analysis and/or cost analysis reporting.
• Strong PC skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage program financials including forecasting, revenue, OM, cash, reporting and analysis.
• Ensure EVMS compliance including cost/schedule/technical integration.
• Generate monthly CDRLs to the customer including IPMDAR & CSDR reporting.
• Set up and maintain cost control systems for contracts requiring CVS.
• Perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure contracts meet negotiated parameters.
• Collaborate with Program Manager to baselining programs and EAC workbooks.
• Incorporate EVMM methodology to support program financial analysis and EAC/ETC analysis.
• Support PMO in VAR process and budgeting/scheduling for contracts.
• Provide financial analysis, monitor trends and interpret results for PMs.
• Incorporate contractual changes to maintain realistic baselines.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual Estimates at Complete (EACs).
• Develop and monitor program risks and opportunities; manage cost overruns and delays.
• Prepare and monitor EAC workbooks for % completion.
• Prepare monthly business forecasts to drive revenue, margin, and cash forecasts.
• Identify variances to quarterly forecasts and annual plan; support PMR reporting.
• Communicate financial status, metrics, and deliverables with leadership and customers.
• Share best practices with peers.
