Job summary

Lilly in Houston, TX seeks a Process Safety Engineer to provide technical expertise across all phases of site development, startup and GMP operations for API manufacturing. You will collaborate with Project Delivery, Engineering, Operations, Quality and HSE to establish safe processes.

Key qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and at least 3 years in chemical/pharma manufacturing with PSM knowledge; CCPS/PE preferred and experience with PHA/HAZOP/LOPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing with PSM knowledge (OSHA 1910.119, NFPA, EPA RMP).

Responsibilities

• Support core process safety elements during site readiness and startup.
• Provide PHA/HAZOP/What-If input during design, commissioning, startup and GMP operations.
• Sustain and improve PSM elements and incident investigation support.
