Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks a Principal or Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer to join the team on-site.

The role requires a Secret clearance and involves leading engineering efforts across the full lifecycle, from requirements and design to testing and integration. The candidate will work within an Integrated Product Team, coordinating with Government counterparts and defense contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with related engineering experience; Master’s degree with fewer years; PhD with minimal experience.
• Experience with CAD modeling tools and engineering analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret clearance and SAP clearances.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tooling and recommend solutions for re-work or alternate methods.
• Interpret drawings and translate customer requirements into hardware specs.
• Lead design concepts and engineering efforts across product development lifecycles.
• Generate complex engineering models and drawings; perform system analyses and trade studies.
• Prepare reports and present to Government counterparts and cross-functional teams.
