Job summary

Renesas is seeking a Senior System & Topology Architect in Austin to lead the design of the UALink switch chassis, define high-speed backplane topologies, and optimize rack-scale fabrics for large-scale AI workloads.

You will drive platform management and security architectures using OpenBMC, Redfish, and PLDM, establish boot sequences, and shape RAS strategies for a multi-node system. A 20+ year track record in high-performance servers or data centers is required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 20+ years of architectural experience in high-performance server platforms, hyper-scale network switches, or data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead UALink chassis design and high-speed interconnect topology decisions.
• Define BMC/OpenBMC/Redfish/PLDM platform management and secure boot flows.
• Develop RAS strategies and thermal/power orchestration for AI workloads.
