Job summary

Curtiss-Wright seeks a Senior Principal Systems & Controls Engineer in Idaho Falls to design, implement, test, and support distributed control systems for nuclear applications. You will lead engineering teams, coordinate with internal groups, and ensure sound technical decisions throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities include requirements capture, design validation, supplier coordination, and customer communications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 2+ years leading engineering teams
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
• PLC/DCS programming and design experience with SCADA equipment

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, installation, and ongoing support for facilities and systems
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure resources and tools are available
• Coach teams for capability advancement and career progression
• Review design documents and ensure quality and compliance with standards
• Engage with customers through meetings, presentations, and written communications
• Support proposals, risk assessments, and scope definitions
• Develop, test, and refine system hardware/software with customers
