Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Lead Principal Network Engineer for OCI Dedicated Region25 (DR25) to serve as a technical authority across the program. You will define end-to-end network architecture, drive design for IP, BGP/OSPF, IPv6, and HA, and lead cross‑functional initiatives from requirements through production.

Expect hands-on leadership in automation, testing, and operations to ensure scalable, secure regional deployments.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years of relevant network engineering experience; or a bachelor’s degree and eleven years; or a master’s and nine; or a doctorate and seven years.
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one major networking specialty (data-center fabrics, routing, cloud networking, automation, security, or operations).
• Deep experience with BGP, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6, VXLAN/EVPN, ECMP, high-availability design, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, QoS, and data-center fabrics.
• Demonstrated success architecting and operating large-scale, highly available networks.
• Strong software and automation skills using Python or another modern language, APIs, Git, CI/CD, and testing.
• Experience leading complex programs across engineering, operations, product, security, and deployment teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to present architecture and tradeoffs to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the end-to-end network architecture for DR25 across data-center fabrics and Clos styles.
• Lead architecture and design for IP addressing, routing policies, IPv6, ECMP, HA, and service connectivity.
• Translate requirements into high/low level designs, models, deployment specs, and validation plans.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives from problem definition to production delivery with milestones and risk management.
• Build network infrastructure-as-code, source-of-truth models, and CI/CD controls using Python and Git-based workflows.
• Define reference architectures, golden configurations, and deployment patterns for DR25 regions.
• Lead production readiness through testing, staged rollouts, observability, capacity planning, and runbooks.
• Serve as escalation point for complex incidents and changes; conduct root cause analysis.
