Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks a Lead Principal Network Engineer to guide the DR25 program. You will own the physical and logical network architecture, drive automation via IaC, and lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and product management.

You will define routing, addressing, high availability, and service connectivity, while mentoring engineers and shaping roadmaps for scalable data-center fabrics.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years of relevant network engineering experience or equivalent education/years.
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one major networking specialty.
• Deep experience with BGP, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6, VxLAN, EVPN, ECMP, and data-center fabrics.
• Strong software and automation skills using Python and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the end-to-end network architecture for DR25.
• Lead architecture for IP addressing, routing policy, IPv6, HA, ECMP, and secure access.
• Translate requirements into designs, deployment specs, and validation plans.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from problem definition to production delivery.
• Governing IaC, validation tools, and CI/CD using Python and Git workflows.
• Define reference architectures and deployment patterns for DR25 regions.
• Drive production readiness with testing, rollouts, and runbooks.
• Serve as escalation point for complex incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Establish monitoring and telemetry strategies for availability and security.
