Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Principal Engineer Mechanical to lead mechanical engineering activities for space systems. In-person role requiring active Top Secret/SCI clearance, with travel up to 10%.

The team collaborates with program management, systems engineering and flight hardware design to execute end-to-end test and integration. Primary responsibilities include planning, designing and executing tests, ensuring producibility and technical excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM fields.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary IT&L/Manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Requires active Top-Secret/SCI clearance and CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design tests to verify system requirements and producibility.
• Develop detailed mechanical integration and test procedures for technicians.
• Coordinate across multiple technical disciplines to define operations.
• Oversee procurement, manufacturing, integration, test and delivery for work packages.
