Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Mechanical Engineer for GMD weapon system hardware. You will perform finite element analyses, maintain drawings, and support cross‑functional teams in an Agile setting.

You’ll mentor junior engineers and produce technical documentation to meet customer requirements. Preferred candidates hold a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and have hands‑on experience with SolidWorks, Creo, NX, and MIL‑STD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with related experience.
• 5+ years for Level 3 or 8+ years for Level 4 in mechanical engineering.
• Active DoD Secret clearance to start.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with 3D CAD and 2D drawing per ASME standards.
• Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter) and SAP.

Responsabilités

• Perform finite element analyses and reviews.
• Maintain and create design drawings for Ground Systems interfaces.
• Lead small engineering teams and produce reports for milestones.
• Develop engineering documentation: drawings, specs, tests.
• Mentor junior engineers in analyses and reviews.
