Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. The role focuses on research, design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems for aerospace programs, including development of test stations and OT/ATP procedures. Qualifications include a B.S.

in Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred), NX experience, and active DoD Secret or higher clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or STEM degree with relevant experience.
• MS in Mechanical/STEM Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with NX Mechanical Design or similar tools and knowledge of test engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, analyze, and test mechanical equipment and systems for aerospace programs.
• Generate and track BOMs; manage test station development within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, operations, QA) to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Develop and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) for test stations.
