Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Iuka, MS, seeks a Principal/Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3/4) to join a high‑volume, high‑mix production environment. You will support IPTs, write and audit shop floor EWIs, and drive RCCA‑based improvements to reduce downtime.

The role requires a STEM degree with multi‑year experience, DoD clearance eligibility, and familiarity with RCCA tools; experience with composite manufacturing and CAD/CAM is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 4 years in Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautics OR Master’s with 3 years in listed fields OR PhD with 0 years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team to develop and implement process improvements.
• Work closely with manufacturing personnel on automated production of composite aerospace components.
• Audit and modify shop floor EWIs; perform RCCA to prevent defects.
• Troubleshoot production/equipment issues and implement improvements.
