Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer serving as Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to drive program execution for a defense development program in McKinney, TX. The role requires strong leadership across engineering and business functions to meet contractual commitments.

The IPTL will coordinate with customer and supplier teams, manage risks, mentor staff, and travel as needed to ensure milestone delivery and technical success.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Program Management and IPTL execution in the Defense Industry.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
• Experience with EVMS, IMP/IMS, or Risk and Opportunity Management.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Meet contractual commitments including financial, technical, and schedule performance.
• Report business metrics to program and functional leadership (EAC).
• Provide technical execution leadership to design, develop, integrate, test and deliver a compliant system.
• Communicate program status and needs to Raytheon leadership and customers.
• As a Program Leadership Team member, align on vision and execution strategies.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks or capture opportunities.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to team members.
• Travel as necessary to support the program (approx. 10%).
