Job summary

Riot Games seeks a Sr. Principal Insights Analyst in Central Product Insights to leverage game analytics across Riot's titles. Build scalable tools and dashboards, mentor analysts, and elevate craft standards to inform product decisions.

The role requires 10+ years in analytics, 3+ years in games, and expertise in Tableau/SQL/Python/PySpark, with strong communication to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant analytics experience (an advanced degree can account for up to 2 years).
• 3+ years experience working directly in analytics on games.
• Strong analytical skills across the entire stack (Tableau, SQL, Python/Pyspark).
• Meaningful familiarity with game design/direction and product strategy.
• Experience conducting analytics to answer product or portfolio strategy questions.
• Experience synthesizing & socializing analytics results and distilling results into impactful recommendations for product/executive leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the strong ability to collaborate effectively at all levels and departments of the organization.
• Able to work independently and lead complex projects which require coordinating multi-party workstreams.
• Ability to own and drive workstreams collaboratively with cross functional partners across game design, engineering, data engineering, and product.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Tackle the most complex & impactful game analytics problems across the Riot Games portfolio including cross-game analytics and health deep dives.
• Lead development of new analytics tools, dashboards, and datasets across the portfolio.
• Mentor and develop game analysts on CPI and across the portfolio.
• Drive consistency and efficiency in key reports and analyses across game teams.
• Partner with Data Engineering to productionalize central analytics tables and data infrastructure.
• Uphold game analytics craft standards ensuring rigor and comparability.
• Improve tools and processes to boost analyst efficiency across the portfolio.
• Support game leadership on staffing and workforce management for analytics.
• Collaborate with insights leadership to support Riot's craft of game analytics.
