ENERCON is seeking Senior or Principal Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineers to join our Nuclear Design Group. The role focuses on leading I&C design for multi-discipline teams, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering compliant, high-quality engineering deliverables for nuclear facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Nuclear Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 6 years experience in design engineering of instrumentation and control systems; 10+ years for Principal
• Experience with power plant instrumentation and controls systems design for BWR or PWR
• Experience in preparing, marking up, and reviewing design drawings, instrument data sheets, and software/cyber security documents
• Experience developing system requirement/ procurement specifications, design descriptions/control narratives, test plans/test procedures
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government projects
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• US Citizenship is required
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed

Responsibilities

• As a key member of our engineering department, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, reliable operation of nuclear facilities
• Develop Engineering Deliverables: produce precise drawings, calculations, analyses meeting codes and client expectations
• Set the Standard: develop documents that exceed client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements
• Stay on the Cutting Edge: enhance expertise in industry codes, safety culture, and design techniques
• Drive Quality & Precision: deliver engineering solutions aligned with QA programs
• Cultivate Strong Client Connections: build trust through clear communication and delivery of results
• Collaborate Across Disciplines: work with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements
