Job summary

The American Cancer Society, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal, Principal Gifts to lead high‑net‑worth fundraising across a remote, national footprint.

You will identify, cultivate and solicit gifts of $5M+ with executives, volunteers and staff to advance our mission to end cancer as we know it. This senior role emphasizes strategic portfolio management, collaboration with leadership, and development of cases for support and donor materials, leveraging Salesforce and other tools to track

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• CFRE certification preferred.
• 10+ years of professional fundraising experience.
• Proven track record closing 7- and 8-figure gifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 15–20 high-net-worth individuals and foundations for $5M+ gifts.
• Partner with ACS leadership to align on mission priorities and donor engagement strategies.
• Develop principal gifts materials, cases for support, funding proposals, and stewardship strategies.
• Engage senior leadership and volunteers to strengthen donor relationships and solicit transformational gifts.
• Utilize donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track, measure, and analyze performance against KPIs.
