Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer for its Mojave, CA operations. The role focuses on mechanical design engineering, test planning and execution, and cross-functional coordination to support a Gulfstream IV Flight Test Bed aircraft.

The candidate will lead pre-test planning, integrate hardware/software verification, and communicate with leadership across NG sectors while adhering to Test Like You Fly methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 9 years of related engineering experience OR Master’s in STEM with 7 years.
• Experience with NX, CATIA, CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Qualify as aircrew and fly onboard as a Flight Test Engineer.
• Develop and publish Integrated Test Plans, detailed test plans, schedules, and procedures.
• Coordinate test planning with design, analysis teams and test operations personnel.
• Conduct pre/post-test data analyses to support anomaly identification and resolution.
• Report test results and status to leadership and cross-functional teams.
