Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Financial Analyst (Level 4) to join us in pursuing top-tier financial performance.

This position is located onsite in Redondo Beach or El Segundo, CA. The role reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting and includes the following responsibilities:

  1. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and analyses to support SEC disclosures.
  2. Analyze sector-level and program balance sheets and P&L statements, including sales, margins, transactions, and significant accounts.
  3. Coordinate with functional, program, and division teams to drive process improvements and resolve issues.
  4. Develop strategies with finance and business teams to enhance reporting efficiency.
  5. Create presentations and work papers for division and sector leadership.
  6. Prepare non-routine journal entries using S4 HANA and HFM.
  7. Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation efforts.
  8. Liaise with auditors, providing requested documents and responses.
  9. Support special projects as needed.
  10. Mentor junior team members.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field with 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
  • Public accounting experience (each year counts as two years).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • CPA license or candidate in the near term.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the A&D industry.
  • Knowledge of SAP/S4 HANA and/or HFM.
  • SEC reporting experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

Salary Range: $113,500 - $170,300. This range is a guideline; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, PTO, bonuses, and long-term incentives for eligible positions.
