Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer (T04) to lead system design, integration, and test of airborne EW capabilities. The role is 100% onsite in Maryland and requires collaboration across HW, SW, FW, I&T, and PM teams.

The candidate should have a strong background in systems engineering for defense systems, airborne sensors, RF, and EW concepts. A active Secret clearance is required or can be pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with relevant experience.
• Active U.S. government Secret clearance preferred/required.
• Experience in systems engineering, integration and test for aerospace/defense.
• Experience with airborne sensors, RF systems, and EW concepts.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary IPTs (HW, SW, FW, I&T, PM).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system-level architecture and requirements for airborne EW sensor systems.
• Plan and perform integration and test activities in lab and field settings.
• Collaborate with IPTs to maintain technical alignment and risk management.
• Develop test plans, reports, and support configuration control.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
