Job summary

Action Environmental in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Senior Principal Environmental Engineer / Engineer of Record to lead large-scale remediation programs across Florida and the Southeast. Qualifications

• Licensure: Active P.E. in Florida in good standing.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years in environmental engineering and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Engineer of Record (EOR) Leadership: Sign, seal, review, and approve critical engineering deliverables, work plans, technical specs, and construction document packages.
• Remedial Design & Execution: Lead end-to-end RD and RA execution through site closeout and final construction completion.
• Multidisciplinary Team Oversight: Direct and coordinate engineering disciplines, field technicians, and remediation subcontractors.
• Regulatory Agency Engagement: Serve as the primary technical liaison to the EPA, state environmental agencies, and client stakeholders.
• Construction & Field Support: Provide technical direction for complex field operations, including site demolition, deep excavation, and remedial activity.
• Quality Assurance & Mentorship: Drive technical quality management, regulatory adherence, and mentoring for staff.
