Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Senior Principal Environmental Engineer / Engineer of Record in Florida. This senior role leads large-scale remediation programs across Florida and the Southeast, accountable for remedial design through construction completion.

You will sign, seal, and oversee critical deliverables, guide multidisciplinary teams, interface with EPA and state agencies, and ensure compliance, constructability, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Active Florida P.E. license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive environmental engineering/remediation experience.
• Experience as Engineer of Record on complex remediation projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage remediation contractors.
• Hands-on field/construction oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Engineer of Record leadership: sign, seal, review, and approve critical deliverables and specs.
• Remedial design and execution: oversee RD and RA through site closeout.
• Multidisciplinary team oversight: coordinate engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Regulatory agency engagement: liaise with EPA and state authorities.
• Construction & field support: direct field operations and constructability reviews.
• Quality assurance & mentorship: ensure regulatory adherence and coach staff.
