Job summary

IRALOGIX, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer in the Charlotte, NC or Pittsburgh, PA area.

You will be a senior individual contributor and technical leader responsible for shaping the architecture of our retirement platform, driving scalability, resiliency, and observability, while actively coding on hard problems. You will mentor teams, set engineering standards, and partner with leadership to enhance throughput and reliability of the system that manages retirement assets and transaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 8 years engineering distributed systems at scale.
• FinTech or startup experience preferred.
• Experience with AWS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design, build, and operate core platform services handling retirement transactions at scale.
• Improve throughput, resiliency, and performance across distributed cloud services.
• Build observability: dashboards, monitoring, and alerting for accurate processing.
• Arbitrate architectural decisions with architecture teams, balancing best practices with realities.
• Deliver high-quality code following SDLC, improve test coverage for critical functionality.
• Debug and resolve production issues across services and stack levels.
• Mentor the next generation of technical leaders at IRALOGIX.
