Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a highly experienced software professional to join the Special Projects team under the Office of the CTO. This elite group blends aerospace, robotics, cloud, and frontend expertise to steer Hivemind technology development and deliver rapid, forward-sprinting solutions.

You will design generative AI experiences, define the Hivemind vision, and lead the user experience for Hivemind Generative AI while collaborating with mission planning and design leads.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience building production-grade software systems.
• Excellent grasp of software development with main languages (e.g. Typescript, C++, Go, Python, Rust).
• 5+ years in React/Node/Typescript/Javascript.
• 5+ years of Web apps development (Front-End or Full-stack).
• Deep full-stack web development knowledge (DOM, browser APIs, Websockets, HTTP SSE).
• Multi-modal input handling and client-side LLM Context Management
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive technical efforts
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype generative AI experiences for autonomy development.
• Collaborate with Office of the CTO to crystallize the Hivemind vision and docs.
• Lead the UX design of Hivemind Generative AI.
• Enhance UX for Hivemind Commander and Hivemind Design products.
• Conduct user research to understand personae and needs.
• Evaluate competing products and present findings to leadership.
