Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a hands-on technical leader in San Francisco to set engineering standards and guide multiple teams. You will own technical design, partner with product management, and mentor engineers to raise the bar on quality.

The role requires 15+ years in software, FinTech domain, strong communication, full‑stack Java/J2EE, AWS, and CI/CD expertise. This position is based in the U.S. with a hybrid work model and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• Fifteen or more years of experience designing and developing complex software projects, with eight+ years in FinTech.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to create technical solutions.
• Effective communicator with exceptional public speaking skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product management to craft product strategy and align with technology roadmaps.
• Be a senior point of expertise on software engineering issues and industry trends.
• Own technical product design and architecture across multiple teams.
• Present technical concepts to small‑to‑medium groups.
• Collaborate with customers to understand needs and drive product improvements.
• Shape engineering approaches and share knowledge across teams.
• Develop a departmental‑wide technical vision and drive change management.
