Job summary

Citi in Irving, Texas is seeking a hands-on Principal Engineer to design, build, and evolve high-quality software products at global scale. You will mentor engineers, advocate technical excellence, and drive full-stack Java delivery across multiple agile teams.

You will work with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern CI/CD practices, partnering with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering delivering production-grade applications using Java and strong OO design.
• Cloud-native development and container orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift in multi-team delivery.
• Experience designing microservices/SOA with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack features using Java across multiple agile teams.
• Collaborate with fellow Principal Engineers to evolve system architecture for scalability and resilience.
• Deliver against sprint commitments and participate in planning, code reviews, and Scrum ceremonies.
