Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned mechanical/aerospace engineer to lead corrective action for in-service engine issues, coordinate teardown support, and assist airlines with AOG resolutions. You will generate technical data for engine manuals and coordinate with MDE and Airbus on documentation and data needs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with 8+ years of engineering experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree) and must be a U.S. citizen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of engineering experience or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement corrective action for engine-related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
• Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
• Support Airlines to resolve Aircraft on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
• Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module piece part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
• Coordinate with MDE for all technical publications issues related to hardware.
• Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
• Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs – Customer Part Returns).
• Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs).
