Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business unit, is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer for onsite work in East Hartford, CT. The role centers on diagnosing and correcting engine-related issues during overhaul, supporting MROs, and coordinating with airlines on AOG events.   • Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
  • Support Airlines to resolve AOGs and coordinate resolution of service issues.
  • Initiate technical data development for engine/module inspection documentation and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
  • Coordinate with the technical publication organization and provide direction for all related hardware publication issues.
  • Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
  • Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs) and quality notifications (QNs).
  • Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs).

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications’ issues related to their hardware.
  • Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
  • Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs – Customer Part Returns).
  • Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs).
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Prefers substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
