Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company in East Hartford, CT, seeks a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead corrective actions on engine-related issues found during overhaul. You will support MROs, assist airlines with AOGs, and drive technical data development for engine manuals and publications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
  • Five+ years of engineering experience or three+ years with an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement corrective action for engine related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
  • Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
  • Support Airlines to resolve Aircrafts on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
  • Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module piece part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
  • Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications’ issues related to their hardware.
  • Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
  • Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs – Customer Part Returns)
  • Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs)

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
3+ years of engineering experience with an advanced degree

Qualifications You Must Have:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required 5+ years of engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.


Qualifications We Prefer:


  • May have broad knowledge of project management.

  • Prefers substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area.
