Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking cleared Sr. Principal Embedded Software Engineers to lead development of sensor, communication, and cyber systems onsite in Cincinnati, OH.

Candidates should have strong C/C++ skills, embedded expertise, and the ability to work across full software lifecycles on high‑impact programs for US intelligence customers. Active clearance or clearable status is required; US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science/engineering with 8+ years of experience; or 6+ years with a MS; or 4+ years with a PhD.
• Technical leadership experience of small teams (3+ engineers).
• Experience with C, C++, and embedded assembly languages (ARM, PIC, AVR).
• Experience with embedded development environments (Xilinx SDK, TI CCS, IAR, GCC).
• US Citizenship is required; ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of sensor, communication, and cyber systems on-site in Cincinnati, OH.
• Oversee full lifecycle from requirements through design, implementation, integration, testing and release.
• Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary program team to deliver high-impact, secure embedded solutions.
