Job summary

Bath Iron Works seeks a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support ship power, lighting, and controls systems in a complex naval environment. The role covers development, integration, testing, and documentation across shipboard and vendor interfaces.

Candidates should have a BS in Electrical Engineering (PE or MS preferred) and 5+ years for senior levels, with strong communication, project management, and leadership skills. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree required.
Master's degree or PE preferred.
Experience with power and controls engineering.

Responsibilities

Develop ship power and controls system revisions/updates.
Provide technical support to BIW's Manufacturing, construction, and testing teams.
Review vendor equipment and other engineering documentation.
Interface with Navy, vendors, and design teams for manufacturing, testing, and trials.
Lead process improvements and cost-out initiatives to improve performance.
Prepare technical reports and verbal presentations as required.
