Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer / Lead Engineer to serve as a senior technical leader for electrical engineering on large and complex industrial and power generation projects in the US. The role emphasizes technical oversight, client engagement, project leadership, mentoring of staff, and contributions to business development while ensuring high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities include leading MV/LV distribution studies, substation design, coordination with NEC/NFPA

Qualifications

BA/BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience or equivalent.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience in industrial, power generation, oil & gas, chemicals, LNG, terminals or heavy industrial facilities.
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering activities on large and complex projects.
Provide technical oversight, client engagement, project leadership, and mentoring.
Review and approve design packages; lead design reviews and E-HAZOPs.
Interface with clients, vendors, and construction teams; manage scope and budget.
Support proposals, business development, and strategic growth for the I&G business.
