Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Sentinel program. You will design, develop and verify high‑assurance electrical subsystems for hypersonic vehicle projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

The role requires MBSE experience, strong schematics knowledge, and familiarity with MIL‑SPECs and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of experience, or 6 years with a Master’s, or 4 years with a PhD.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• 3+ years reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and component datasheets with verifiable verification matrices.
• 1+ years MBSE concepts and ability to maintain system models.
• 1+ years experience with MIL-SPECs and relevant standards (IEEE, NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEC, UFC).

Responsibilities

• Author clear, testable requirements and verification plans for electrical subsystems.
• Review vendor data for compliance with program requirements.
• Support and update MBSE model with traceability across requirements, interfaces and verifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and test engineers to capture cross-domain impacts.
• Participate in design, trade and verification reviews; provide status updates to leadership.
• Follow Northrop Grumman configuration control and documentation standards.
