Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The role focuses on ground electrical design across facilities nationwide and requires a DoD Secret clearance.

You will attend technical meetings, coordinate with design and integration teams, develop PDPs/ADPs, review schematics and data sheets, and perform electrical analysis. A STEM degree and relevant experience are required. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years experience, or Master’s degree with 2 years, or PhD with 0 years.
• US citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period.
• Knowledge of MIL-SPECs and standards (IEEE, NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEC, UFC).
• Experience in two or more electrical domains (architecture, power systems, cable design, circuit design, EDI, interface definition).

Responsibilities

• Attend internal program, customer and supplier technical exchange meetings.
• Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products.
• Develop PDPs/ADPs and manage review and release.
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams, data sheets and interconnect diagrams.
• Lead or participate in trades studies and systems integration.
