Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Principal Lead Engineer – Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls to provide senior technical leadership on large, complex industrial projects in the US. You will guide engineering design from concept to commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable facilities.

The role requires strong communication with clients and project teams and relocation to Charleston, WV with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license in the US strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience on complex projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for electrical, instrumentation, controls, and industrial communications engineering across multiple projects.
• Guide development and review of complete engineering design deliverables that support safe, efficient, and constructible facilities.
• Oversee preparation of construction documentation, including: Electrical single-line diagrams, power distribution layouts, grounding and lightning protection systems.
• Lead or review electrical system studies such as load flow, short circuit, protective relay coordination, arc flash, motor starting, and harmonic analysis.
• Support the design and specification of instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, SIS) and OT infrastructure.
• Contribute to or review P&IDs, control narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams, loop diagrams, and instrument specifications.
• Support procurement activities, vendor evaluations, construction support, and commissioning.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers; engage with clients and stakeholders.
