Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Principal Lead Engineer – Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls in Charleston, WV to provide senior technical leadership on large industrial projects from concept through commissioning. You will guide electrical, instrumentation, and control design, develop complete engineering deliverables, review drawings, and ensure safe, reliable, and constructible facilities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Travel 15–25% and relocation are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
12+ years of progressive engineering experience on complex projects.
US PE license preferred and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for electrical, instrumentation, controls, and industrial communications engineering across multiple projects.
Guide the development and review of complete engineering design deliverables for safe, efficient, and constructible facilities.
Oversee construction documentation including electrical single-line diagrams, power distribution layouts, grounding and protection systems.
Lead or review electrical system studies such as load flow, short circuit, protective relay coordination, arc flash, motor starting and harmonic analysis.
Support instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, SIS) and related narratives and diagrams.
Mentor electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineers and designers; foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
