Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. The role supports multiple U.S. locations, including a Palm Beach Gardens, FL base, with travel to project sites.

You will develop design studies, perform calculations, and mentor junior engineers while leading electrical design efforts for power generation projects. The ideal candidate has a ABET-accredited BSEE, 6+ years in electrical design (10+ for principal), and experience in nuclear or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience designing electrical systems (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls) for Senior Level; 10+ years for Principal Level.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design firm.
• PE preferred
• Writing, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed

• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Shape project success with design studies, scopes, and accurate estimates.
• Master procurement and installation with detailed specifications and bid evaluation.
• Perform essential electrical calculations for designs and installations.
• Think creatively to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forward.
• Be hands-on in the field with site walkdowns, installations, and startup support.
• Lead and inspire teams with a positive, goal-oriented leadership style.
