Job summary
Sinclair, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) seeks a Sr. Principal Data Engineer to architect a next‑gen data platform for Digital Remedy. You will design blueprints for handling massive AdTech telemetry and ensure scalable, cost‑efficient pipelines across geographies and time zones.
You will lead Databricks modernization, drive IaC adoption, mentor engineering teams in the US and India, and translate roadmaps into concrete technical work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in Data Engineering with at least 3 years in a Principal/Architect capacity.
- 4+ years hands-on Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Photon).
- Deep Spark (PySpark/Scala), Python and SQL; familiarity with GCP/BigQuery.
- Self-starter capable of taking high-level concepts through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing petabyte-scale datasets and high-concurrency pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Architectural leadership for migrating/optimizing data lakehouse using Databricks.
- Own production reliability and resolve complex production issues 24/7.
- Translate product roadmaps into technical requirements with SVP of Tech.
- Drive IaC adoption with Databricks Asset Bundles for consistent deployments.
- Provide guidance on schemas and governance for BigQuery and Databricks.
